Innovations in Respiratory Testing

The development of modern medicine is closely intertwined with technological innovations that offer new possibilities in the field of diagnostics. Medical imaging, particularly X-ray and CT examinations, has undergone revolutionary changes in recent decades. New tools and procedures not only increase the accuracy of diagnosis but also strive to reduce patients’ radiation doses. The direction of development is determined by both scientific research and industrial innovation, which provide new solutions to replace old methods.

Modernization of Medical Devices

The modernization of medical devices not only serves the safety of patients but also improves the efficiency of diagnostic centers. The above example clearly demonstrates the significant advantages that can arise from coordinating research collaborations and industrial experiences.

The introduction of new technologies always presents new challenges for professionals, but continuous development and innovation create opportunities to find the best solutions in patient care.

Introduction of the MRX TEL NG II System

The MRX TEL NG II system is an innovative digital tomosynthesis (DTS) device specifically optimized for medical radiological imaging. This modern equipment has significant advantages over traditional X-ray machines, as it applies low X-ray doses during examinations. The DTS function allows patients to receive accurate diagnoses with minimal radiation exposure, which is particularly important for lung examinations. Research indicates that DTS technology can reduce dose exposure by up to 30 times compared to traditional methods, thus providing opportunities for safer patient care.

Behind the development of the device is a comprehensive research and development process led by Innomed Medical Zrt. During the collaboration, the Pulmonology Clinic of Semmelweis University and the Department of Measurement and Information Systems of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics also participated. As a result of the joint work, not only were prototypes of the device created, but several mass-produced units were also launched, which are already operational in numerous healthcare institutions, such as the Pulmonology Clinic of Semmelweis University and the Svábhegy Children’s Hospital.

The system offers further possibilities in clinical applications, as it not only reduces radiation risks but also improves the quality of imaging. Thanks to the device’s automatic adjustment function, users can easily select the body part to be examined, greatly facilitating the diagnostic process.

Scientific Collaborations Behind the Innovation

The MRX TEL NG II system is the result of successful research and collaborations. The partnership between Innomed Medical Zrt. and prestigious universities has enabled the development of a modern technology that has opened new dimensions in radiological imaging. The collaboration between Semmelweis University and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics has resulted in numerous scientific publications that have contributed to the advancement of the field.

The research has also extended to various medical applications, but the main focus has been on the examination of the lungs and joints. Professionals are currently working to optimize the examination parameters for the most vulnerable groups, such as children and pregnant women. The automated system allows users to select the organ to be examined with the push of a button, and the device automatically takes the necessary images. To achieve the best results, thousands of images have been taken on various phantoms.

The continuous development and refinement of the system occur by taking into account the experiences gained during clinical trials. The introduction of these new procedures not only raises the standard of patient care but also increases the efficiency of diagnostic processes.

Market Opportunities and International Expansion

The MRX TEL NG II system enjoys significant interest not only domestically but also in international markets. The successful presentation of the device took place at an exhibition held in Paris at the end of 2015, where the professional audience recognized the innovative solutions of the tool. The plans aim to replace traditional X-ray machines in hospitals with this modern equipment, which, in addition to CT functionality, can perform most classic X-ray examinations.

To facilitate international expansion, Innomed Medical Zrt. has already signed a letter of intent in Brazil for the establishment of a manufacturing facility, and negotiations are ongoing for production in Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, and Indonesia. In Russia, assembly from components has already begun, marking another significant step in the company’s expansion.

The market opportunities offer a wide spectrum, and the expected increase in turnover could bring significant changes to the company’s life. With new tools and technologies, the goal is to ensure that the quality of patient care continuously improves, applying the latest scientific knowledge to ensure the safety and health of patients.
