Skiing, quad biking, mountain biking: Viktor Klausmann is constantly on the move

Kalusmann Viktor’s name is familiar to many, as he became popular as the host of the Wheel of Fortune. However, after leaving the screen, he turned to new challenges and is actively involved in the world of sports. His activities include organizing hikes, skiing, quad biking, and beach outings, and he also supports the work of water and mountain rescuers. Many may not even realize how exciting and diverse this phase of Viktor’s life is.

Passion for skiing from childhood

Since childhood, he has been in love with skiing, as he spent a significant part of his holidays in Mátraszentimre. With local youths, he was already in the mountains at the first signs of snowfall. He received his first pair of skis in the form of a red plastic toy, and since then, skiing has become his passion. Since the opening of the Hatvani Kinizsi ski lift, he has regularly participated in weekend skiing trips and even competed at a young age. During his university years, he led several ski camps until the Wheel of Fortune began.

Sports and entertainment beyond television

Before the Wheel of Fortune, Viktor’s passion for sports was already evident, but after hosting the show, this attraction intensified even more. Besides skiing, mountain biking also became an important part of his life. Over the years, increasingly advanced mountain bikes became available, allowing him to explore the mountains safely. He currently trains on a special Magellan Pixys bike, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also high-performing.

For Viktor, sports have become not just a hobby but a way of life. In recent years, he has become a board member of the Hungarian Ski Association and then the head of the Hungarian Ski Academy. These positions have given him the opportunity to delve even deeper into the world of skiing and actively participate in promoting Hungarian ski resorts. By founding the Hupikékes Ski School, he created new opportunities for those who wish to ski, as the ski school now welcomes visitors at several locations.

Winter events and community involvement

Viktor is actively involved in organizing winter events not only as an athlete but also as an event organizer. The event called Advent at Kékes is closely related to the marketing of local ski slopes, as it is a winter season-opening event that is significant for both skiers and locals. Popular Hungarian bands perform during the program, while visitors can find handmade products and folk art creations on-site.

His connection to the activities of the Mátra Rescue Group and the water rescuers is also noteworthy. In recent years, with the rise in tourism, the number of accidents has also increased, so Viktor and his team actively help with rescue tasks. Through quad biking, they can quickly and efficiently reach hard-to-access areas, and participation in water rescue courses has helped prevent accidents.

Experiences throughout the four seasons

In addition to winter and summer periods, spring and autumn programs are also important for Viktor. During the Mátra Safari, city dwellers are given the opportunity to see wild animals up close. The three hundred-hectare area allows visitors to observe wild boars, mouflons, and deer in a safe environment, providing an unforgettable experience.

Encouraging an active lifestyle is realized not only through promoting sports but also by organizing experience-rich programs. According to Viktor’s experiences, people are increasingly seeking active, experience-filled relaxation. Therefore, it is important to offer a colorful array of programs alongside various sports.

Viktor also wants to introduce his children to the world of sports. In the summer, they spend time together at the beach, and in the winter, on the ski slopes. The love for sports, of course, does not become an obligation, but parental encouragement always helps children discover the joy of movement.
