    Aphasia – The Need to Learn to Speak Again

    Aphasia is a disorder that affects the ability to speak and understand speech, resulting from various brain injuries. The condition often develops following a stroke, brain tumor, or head injury, and takes on different forms depending on which area of the brain is affected. The severity of aphasia can vary; while some may experience only mild speech difficulties, others may need to completely relearn the language. In aphasic patients, comprehension may remain intact, but expressing thoughts can be severely challenging.
