The problem of alcohol consumption is a significant concern worldwide, and Hungary is no exception. The measured alcohol consumption in the country is extremely high, with many believing it has reached the level of one million alcoholics. According to OECD data, the per capita alcohol consumption corresponds to more than 11 liters of pure alcohol annually. This figure includes the alcohol consumption of everyone from infants to the elderly, so in reality, this amount could be even higher when considering the varying alcohol content of beverages.
