The problem of iodine deficiency is a concerning phenomenon worldwide, particularly affecting thyroid function. Adequate iodine intake is essential for hormone production, and therefore iodine deficiency can lead to numerous health issues. The thyroid gland, located in front of the larynx, is responsible for producing thyroid hormones such as T3 and T4.
